Onboarding NewzSocial- User Guide

The following is a step-by-step guide to onboarding the NewzSocial platform via the wizard.

NewzSocial Onboarding Guide

  1. You will receive a notification email with an URL and a temporary password when your NewzSocial admin adds your email into the system

 The email will contain the following information:

Welcome to "Company Name" Social Media Marketing program. "Company Name" Social Media Marketing program is our new initiative to engage audiences and build influence on social media using the NewzSocial platform.

For your convenience, we've prepared a short list of the important information you will need to get started with NewzSocial. If you have any questions, please contact me, Admin@gmail.com. We're here to help!


New Account and Onboarding Instructions

Temporary Password: XXXXXX

 

Please click here [Invited User Link] to get to your Welcome page. 

Here’s how you get started: 

  1. Sign in with the temporary password provided above.
  2. Follow the three steps to set up your account with NewzSocial.
  3. Step 1: Configure your Account: Change your password and confirm your new password
  4. Step 2: Connect your Social Networks:

             Click on the icons to connect your preferred Social Media networks.

You must connect at least 1 Social Network.

  1. Step 3: Select a Social Touchpoint: Click on the + next to the list in the left pane to select a Touchpoint. Again, you must select at least 1 Social Touchpoint.
  2. Click on Continue.

You will be redirected to the NewzSocial Advocate User application.

  1. Please click on [Invited User Link] in your welcome email. In the next screen, opt to sign in via email.
  2. Next, use your temporary password to sign in.
  3. You will be asked to change your password in the next screen.
  4.  You will be directed to a page with three tabs that walk you through the onboarding process.
  5. The first tab, “Manage Your Account”, is simply a summary of your business and personal information. Click on Continue to poceed to the next tab.

 

 

 

 

 7. The second tab, “Connect Your Social Networks”, is where you connect your social media networks- Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.  Click on the “ Connect Me” icons for each network.

Note:You will have to connect at least one social network to be added to the NewzSocial platform.

You may also connect multiple networks to broaden your advocacy options and increase your personal reach and engagement. Click on Continue to proceed to the next tab.

8. The third tab, “Select your Social Targets” is where you give permissions to post on various network touchpoints. The more touchpoints you add, the easier it is to distribute your content across multiple networks, enabling you to reach and engage with your desired audience, irrespective of which network touchpoints they are connected to.

For each social network, NewzSocial supports the following: 

LinkedIn: Personal Profiles, Discussion Groups and Company Pages
Facebook: Personal Profiles, Company Page, Groups
Twitter: Personal Twitter Handle and Company Twitter Handle

 

 

For your Facebook and LinkedIn networks, the system automatically displays all the pages and groups you administer and any discussion groups that you belong to.

Under each touchpoint, you will see an option for Approval- Automatic or Manual. These relate to whether you want the post to flow automatically to your permitted touchpoints or whether you prefer to approve each post manually, which will require an additional step on your part. Click on the Approval Mode you prefer.

 

You can also change the number of permitted posts by editing the number in the pop-up box and checking it off.

Similarly, you can edit the time period allocated with post limits by editing the number in the pop-up box and checking it off.

 

 

Ensure that you add and give permissions to post on all the required social touchpoints for each network. This is a simple process of hovering on the “+” icon next to the social media profile in the column “Available Social Touchpoints”  and clicking on it. This will transfer the touchpoint to the right column, “ Selected Social Touchpoints”.

If you do not select any target, the following screen will appear and you will not be able to continue to the next page.

 

 

7. Lastly, click on the green Continue button to be transferred to the Home Page or NewzSocialWeb page.
